The great thing about this type of work is that it is always needed, so it is practically recession proof. Also, the longer you work the higher your pay becomes. This career path is never static. You may want to be a hospice social worker, go into forensics, work with the elderly or do family counseling. You will never get bored with this type of work as you are constantly faced with new challenges and problems to solve.
